Many users in the feedback temperature transmitter in use of inaccurate measurement or not a few days of temperature probe broken, resulting in this situation is likely to be caused by improper installation, only the correct installation method can make the temperature transmitter long-term normal and accurate measurement.

Temperature transmitter installation considerations

First: the installation of equipment must be carried out without power supply.

Second: If the transmitter is installed in a bad site and encounters dangerous damage such as lightning strike or overvoltage, we recommend that the user protect against lightning and overvoltage between the distribution box or the power supply and the transmitter.

Third: It is recommended to install a globe valve before the measuring point for pipeline installation to facilitate the maintenance and disassembly of the transmitter. In addition, when the pressure measurement is installed for the first time, it can play a role in reducing pressure shock. After waiting for the pressure in the pipe to stabilize, slowly open the shut-off valve to start measuring. (Figure 1)

Fourth: If conditions permit, it is recommended to install a casing, and the transmitter can be disassembled under pressure after installing the casing to facilitate later maintenance. (Figure 2)

Fifth: The device must not be installed at the lowest point ((5)) of the pipe or vessel to prevent the medium from spilling over the area that damages the measuring element. The protective tube insertion depth should be at least half the pipe diameter. (Figure 3)

Sixth: During the installation process, the transmitter should be tightened from the hexagonal nut at the bottom of the equipment with a wrench to avoid directly rotating the upper part of the equipment and causing the connection line to be disconnected.

Seventh: In order to avoid liquid flowing along the cable, causing fluid to accumulate at the waterproof joint or enter the junction box, the cable box and the transmitter should be configured into a U-shaped ring as shown in the figure, and the bottom of the U-shape should be lower than the transmitter, and consider the maintenance and replacement of the cable of sufficient length. (Figure 4)
