The difference between current, voltage and digital RS485 –
The current output is the current source with good stability, strong anti-interference, and long transmission distance, up to 2000 meters;
The voltage output is a voltage source, and the transmission distance is less than 30 meters;
RS485 is a digital signal, transmitting 1000 meters, and the supply voltage is 24VDC and above.
So, how should the current and RS485 signal be selected for the same long distance?
1. The advantage of RS485 is that this sensor can form an RS485 network, when collecting multiple sensor signals, you can use a bus to connect multiple sensors to the computer, and the computer can realize the collection, recording, analysis, reporting, alarm and other functions of multi-point data as long as the corresponding data acquisition software is installed. This saves on cabling costs.
2. The advantage of the current signal is that it is intuitive and easy to implement, and it is suitable for single point or small number of equipment acquisition.
