The pressure gauge is the elastic deformation of the sensitive elements (Bourdon tube, diaphragm box, bellows) in the gauge, and then the pressure deformation is transmitted to the pointer by the conversion mechanism of the movement in the gauge, causing the pointer to rotate to display the pressure. For the selection of pressure gauges, we can consider several aspects.
First, the selection is based on the use environment and the nature of the measurement medium
1. In the case of strong atmospheric corrosiveness, more dust and easy to spray liquid, etc., it is advisable to choose a closed all-plastic pressure gauge.
2. For dilute nitric acid, acetic acid, ammonia and other general corrosive media, acid-resistant pressure gauge, ammonia pressure gauge or stainless steel diaphragm pressure gauge should be selected.
3. Diaphragm pressure gauge or diaphragm pressure gauge should be used for dilute hydrochloric acid, hydrochloric acid gas, heavy oil and similar media with strong corrosiveness, solid particles, viscous liquids and other media. The material of the diaphragm or diaphragm must be selected according to the characteristics of the measuring medium.
4. For crystallization, scarring and high viscosity media, diaphragm pressure gauge should be selected.
5. In the case of strong mechanical vibration, the seismic pressure gauge or marine pressure gauge should be selected.
6. In flammable and explosive occasions, when an electric contact signal is required, an explosion-proof electric contact pressure gauge should be selected.
Second, select the pressure gauge according to the overall size
1. The pressure gauge installed in the pipeline and equipment has a diameter of φ100mm or φ150mm.
2. The pressure gauge installed in the pneumatic pipeline of the instrument and its auxiliary equipment has a diameter of φ60mm.
3. The pressure gauge installed in the place where the illumination is low, the position is high and the indication value is not easy to observe, with a diameter of φ200mm or φ250mm.
Third, choose according to the measurement range
1. When measuring stable pressure, the operating pressure value of the selected pressure gauge should be 2/3~1/3 of the upper limit of the measuring range of the instrument.
2. When measuring the pulsating pressure (such as the pressure at the outlet of the pump, compressor and fan), the operating pressure value of the selected pressure gauge should be 1/2~1/3 of the upper limit of the measuring range of the instrument.
3. When measuring high and medium pressure (greater than 4MPa), the operating pressure value of the selected pressure gauge should not exceed 1/2 of the upper limit of the measuring range of the instrument.
