There are some things that need to be paid attention to during the installation and use of explosion-proof transmitters to ensure safe use on site.
First, the explosion-proof transmitter needs to be installed without pressurization and without power supply.
Second, in the case of explosion hazard, it is forbidden to operate the explosion-proof transmitter under the power supply state. Except in cases where explosion-proof transmitters are connected via intrinsically safe circuits.
Third, regardless of whether it is in the explosion danger area or not, ensure that the whole line is in a state of equipotential protection.
Fourth, if there is a possibility of lightning strike or overvoltage damage in the explosion-proof transmitter, lightning protection and anti-overvoltage protection measures must be taken.
Fifth, it is necessary to avoid excessive deposition of dust (more than 5mm) on the surface of the explosion-proof transmitter or complete coverage by dust.
Sixth, it must be used in explosion-proof gas environments with associated equipment that has passed explosion-proof certification to form an explosion-proof system. The system wiring must comply with the requirements of the instruction manual of the explosion-proof transmitter and the associated equipment at the same time, and the terminal blocks must not be connected incorrectly.
Seventh, the explosion-proof transmitter can only be repaired when the installation site confirms the existence of non-flammable gas.
Eighth, the connection cable between the explosion-proof transmitter and the associated equipment shall be a shielded cable with an insulating sheath, and its shielding layer shall be grounded in a safe place.
