There are a variety of signal output methods for pressure transmitters, and three are more commonly used: current output, voltage output, and RS485 signal output. Today, let’s take a look at the precautions for the use of RS485 signal output of pressure transmitters.
First, the single RS485 bus of the pressure transmitter must adopt the bus structure of “hand-in-hand”, and do not use star connection and bifurcation connection. The address code is set from near and far, that is, the management computer is connected to the controller No. 1, No. 2 is connected to No. 1, No. 3 is connected to No. 2, and so on……
Second, the wire of the pressure transmitter must be made of multi-strand shielded twisted pair network cable with a wire diameter of more than 0.3 square millimeters (multi-strand is for backup). Apply PVC pipes separately to avoid walking together with strong electricity, so as not to interfere with strong electricity.
Third, the pressure transmitter 485 (A) and 485 (B) must be twisted together with each other, the twisted pair is because the 485 communication adopts the principle of differential mode communication, and the anti-interference of the twisted pair is good. It is a mistake not to use twisted pair cables, and other types of cables should be avoided.
Fourth, if a plurality of slaves or connecting lines are too long and the communication is not smooth, it is necessary to add 120 ohms matching resistor between the 485 (A) and 485 (B) of the first and last slaves of the 485 bus to improve the communication quality. (Twisted pair required)
Fifth, the reasonable arrangement of transmission rate, number of load nodes and transmission distance to achieve the principle of long-distance low-speed fewer nodes and short-range high-speed multi-node.
Finally, the shield of the pressure transmitter network communication line is connected to the ground. Pay attention to the ground, otherwise there will be unknown dangers.
