Many users report that the temperature transmitter is not accurate in use or the temperature of the probe is broken after a few days, which is likely to be caused by improper installation, and only the correct installation method can make the temperature transmitter measure normally and accurately for a long time.
Temperature Transmitter Installation Notes:
First, the installation of the equipment must be carried out without power supply.
Second, if the transmitter is installed in a bad site and will encounter dangerous damage such as lightning strike or overvoltage, we recommend that users carry out lightning protection and overvoltage protection between the distribution box or power supply and the transmitter.
Thirdly, it is recommended to install a shut-off valve in front of the measuring point for pipeline installation, so as to facilitate the maintenance and disassembly of the transmitter. In addition, when the pressure measurement is installed for the first time, it can play a role in reducing the pressure impact. After waiting for the pressure in the pipeline to stabilize, slowly open the shut-off valve and start the measurement. (Figure 1)
Fourth, if conditions permit, it is recommended to install a casing, and the transmitter can be disassembled under pressure after the casing is installed, which is convenient for later maintenance. (Fig. 2)
Fifth, equipment should not be installed at the lowest point ((5)) of the pipe or vessel to prevent the medium from spilling out of the area that damages the measuring cell. The protective tube should be inserted at least half the diameter of the tube. (Fig. 3)
Sixth, during the installation process, a wrench should be used to tighten the transmitter from the hexagonal nut at the bottom of the equipment to avoid directly rotating the upper part of the equipment and causing the connection wire to be disconnected.
Seventh, in order to avoid the liquid flowing along the cable, causing liquid accumulation at the waterproof joint or entering the junction box, between the wiring box and the transmitter should be configured into a U-shaped ring as shown in the figure, and the bottom of the U-shaped should be lower than the transmitter, and consider the need to reserve a sufficient length of cable for maintenance and replacement.
