The analog output signal of the pressure transmitter has a current output and a voltage output, which makes the output signal of the pressure transmitter better consistent with the output of the programmable logic controller (PLC) and direct digital controller (DDC), which is convenient for automatic control.
The current output of the pressure transmitter is 4~20mA converted into a voltage of 1~5V, which can be achieved by adding a resistance value. The basis here is Ohm’s law. Simply illustrating Ohm’s law is the principle that in the same circuit, the current through a certain conductor is proportional to the voltage at both ends of the conductor and inversely proportional to the resistance of the conductor. The voltage output is one of the commonly used output signals in pressure transmitters, and due to the number of industrial controllers that will receive or output the voltage signal, technicians need simplicity to verify the signal. A pressure gauge can be simply connected in series to read the voltage and correlate this value with the range on the pressure transmitter. The current output can be cumbersome to read the corresponding output signal. Typically, measurements are made with precision resistors in combination with pressure transmitters. The voltage output pressure transmitter is susceptible to interference from motors or relays and other equipment, resulting in inaccurate output signals, and the pressure transmitter with current output has strong anti-interference ability.
