Sensor technology has long penetrated into a wide range of fields such as industrial production, space development, ocean exploration, environmental protection, resource investigation, medical diagnosis, bioengineering, and even cultural relics protection. The output signal of the sensor has also changed differently with the development of technology.
Most of the early sensors are voltage output type, that is, the sensor measurement signal is converted into 0-5V voltage output, which is the direct output of the op amp, the signal power is < 0.05W, and the digital signal is converted through the analog/digital conversion circuit for the single-chip microcomputer to read and control. As the complexity of sensor applications increases, the voltage output of the sensor suffers somewhat. In the case where the signal needs to be transmitted over a long distance or the power grid interference in the use environment is large, the anti-dry ability of the voltage output is poor, and the line loss damage accuracy is poor.
At this time, the two-wire current output sensor with strong anti-interference ability has been widely used. As long as the transmission circuit does not branch, the current in the sensor current source signal does not change with the length of the wire, so as to ensure the accuracy of transmission. If the voltage source signal is transmitted remotely, a large error will occur due to the voltage division between the wire resistance and the input resistance of the receiving instrument.
With the progress of network technology and the demand for enterprise informatization, the emergence of RS485 digital signal output realizes the sensor networking function. Now RS485 digital output sensors are also being received by customers, the signal is easy to process, easy to integrate, more sensors will choose digital output in the future.
