  1. The oil level is too high

  When the oil level of the transformer is higher than the highest oil level line, different methods should be used to deal with it according to the cause of the cause. If it is caused by overload, the load should be reduced; If the three-phase current is seriously unbalanced and the current of a certain phase exceeds the rated value, the load should be adjusted to achieve the basic balance; If the temperature of the transformer oil rises due to the abnormality of the cooler, and the oil expands due to heating, causing the oil level to rise, it should be checked whether the cooler is blocked by dust, whether the upper and lower valves of the oil pipe are opened, whether the fan and submersible pump are running normally, whether the temperature of the cooling medium is appropriate, etc., and timely treatment should be made to restore the normal operation of the cooler; If the oil level is too high due to too much oil in the transformer, the oil should be drained to an appropriate height.

  2. The oil level is too low

  When the oil level of the transformer is significantly lower than the oil level corresponding to the oil temperature at that time, and the oil level is below the minimum oil level line or is invisible, the oil level is too low. When the transformer leaks, the oil level is too low when the oil is not replenished in time due to the need for oil discharge, or the original oil level of the transformer is not high, and the load of the transformer drops suddenly or the external ambient temperature decreases significantly. When the oil level is too low, the transformer core and windings will be exposed to the air, which is easy to be damp and reduce the insulation capacity, and may even cause insulation breakdown. Therefore, when it is found that the oil level of the transformer is too low, the cause should be found and dealt with.

  If the oil level is low and no oil leakage is found, the operator should report and replenish the qualified transformer oil of the same type as soon as possible. If the oil level is significantly reduced due to an oil leak, measures should be taken to eliminate the oil leak and refuel immediately to bring the oil level back to normal. If there is a large amount of oil leakage, the oil level drops too much and endangers the safe operation of the transformer, it should be reported to the dispatcher to apply for the deactivation of the transformer. For the transformer cooled by large strong oil circulating water, if the oil level is found to be low, check whether there is oil splash in the water to prevent water seepage in the oil from endangering the insulation of the transformer, and find out the cause before refilling.
