In the process of purchasing pressure transmitters, users need to describe and provide a lot of on-site working conditions and related parameters, so that the pressure transmitter technicians can choose products suitable for their on-site working conditions for you, but many users do not know and do not understand their own on-site working conditions, nor do they understand the pressure transmitter. In this way, there will be big problems in the purchase process. In fact, if we understand the following points, the problem will be solved.
First, we need to be clear about the medium that the pressure transmitter is using. Typically, pressure transmitters measure gases and liquids. However, some media have special properties, such as viscous liquids, granular liquids, and so on. Only when the measuring medium is clear can the correct pressure transmitter model be selected.
Second, after confirming the specific model of the transmitter, it is necessary to determine the range of the pressure transmitter. Generally, the measuring range of the pressure transmitter is larger than the maximum value of the actual working condition. In the use of pressure transmitters, there are peak and continuous irregular up and down fluctuations due to the influence of the on-site environment, (such as the interference of high-power equipment) This instantaneous peak can destroy the pressure transmitter and shorten the life of the pressure transmitter, so when selecting the pressure transmitter, the pressure range should be fully considered.
Third, it is to select the accuracy of the pressure transmitter. The accuracy levels are 0.1%FS, 0.25%FS, 0.5%FS, and 1%FS. The smaller the value, the higher the accuracy. Simply put, the higher the accuracy of the pressure transmitter, the higher the accuracy, but also the higher the price. The accuracy class of the pressure transmitter can be selected based on the specific application requirements and budget.
Fourth, what needs to be determined is the output signal of the pressure transmitter, due to various acquisition requirements, there are many kinds of output signals of pressure transmitters on the market, the main ones are 4~20mA, 0~20mA, 0~10V, 0~5V, RS485, etc. The current output is two-wire, the voltage output is three-wire, and the RS485 digital signal output is four-wire.
Fifth, after determining the above parameters, it is necessary to confirm the process connection interface of the pressure transmitter and the power supply voltage of the pressure transmitter. If it is used in special occasions, it is also necessary to consider the explosion-proof and protection level. These are selected according to the specific working conditions, for example, there is no requirement for explosion-proof on site, and it is enough to choose a conventional pressure transmitter.
