Diaphragms are very important during the use of pressure transmitters. If the pressure transmitter diaphragm is damaged, it will directly render the pressure transmitter unusable. The most direct way to damage the pressure transmitter diaphragm is to touch the diaphragm directly, which is common during the installation, unloading or cleaning of pressure transmitters. The diaphragm of the pressure transmitter is generally only about 0.1mm thick, and it is easy to damage the diaphragm once it is improperly operated. Hydrogen embrittlement is hydrogen dissolved in steel, polymerized into hydrogen molecules, causing stress concentration, exceeding the strength limit of steel, and forming fine cracks inside steel, also known as white spots. For example, the gasifier contains hydrogen H2, and H2 is easy to cause hydrogen embrittlement at high temperature and pressure. Hydrogen is not a corrosive medium, but it is highly permeable. Hydrogen molecules are small and can enter the crystal cell of the metal, causing the diaphragm to break.
